Editor’s Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for maintaining the quality of the journal by publishing high-quality papers. They are also tasked with promoting freedom of expression within the cultural and legal framework.
Good Practices
Editors are encouraged to welcome new ideas and suggestions to improve the quality of the journal. They must apply the blind peer review process faithfully and promote anti-plagiarism policies without any external influence.
Fair Play and Impartiality
Editors will ensure impartial evaluation of research papers, without discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, or any other factors related to the authors.
Confidentiality
Editors will maintain confidentiality for both authors and reviewers during the peer review process. Confidentiality extends to the research participants as well. The content of the manuscript will remain confidential until it is published.

Review Process
Health Sciences Australia operates under a comprehensive editorial policy for manuscript review. Initially, manuscripts are reviewed internally by in-house editors to assess originality and quality. At this stage, manuscripts may be rejected or returned to authors for corrections if they do not meet the journal’s standards. Manuscripts that pass this stage proceed to the peer review phase, where Health Sciences Australia employs a Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure anonymity for both authors and reviewers. After incorporating feedback, the manuscript is reviewed by content experts. Based on their evaluation, the manuscript is either accepted or rejected. This rigorous process ensures that only high-quality, rigorously evaluated manuscripts are published.
Dealing with Misconduct
Editors will encourage reviewers to comment on any ethical issues or potential misconduct. Plagiarism will be confirmed using tools like Turnitin or by searching for similar titles. In cases of plagiarism, the journal will issue a corrigendum, remove, or retract the article.
Transparency
Only one paper per principal investigator (PI) will be published in the same issue. The journal will strictly follow authorship and co-authorship policies.
Conflict of Interest
Editors and reviewers will not work on a submitted paper if they have any conflicts of interest with the authors or institutions involved.
Disclosure
Editors will not use any unpublished information or data from submitted research papers without the authors’ permission.
Publication Decisions
Only research papers that align with the scope of the journal and meet academic standards will be published. Decisions regarding acceptance or rejection will be communicated to authors, with justifications provided for any rejections.
Procedure for Appeal
Authors whose articles are rejected have the right to appeal by submitting a detailed explanation. The appeal will be reviewed internally, and a decision will be made accordingly. Revised articles will not be considered at this stage.
