This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the ongoing US-Israel-Iran war, which began on 28 February 2026. It examines the conflict through multiple lenses: military escalation, economic disruption (particularly the near‑closure of the Strait of Hormuz), the unfolding humanitarian and health crisis, and the diplomatic role of Pakistan as a mediator. Drawing on empirical data from international organizations and scholarly literature on International Relations and peace and conflict studies, the article argues that the war represents a fundamental breakdown of the liberal international order and a catastrophic failure of preventive diplomacy. It concludes with policy recommendations for de‑escalation, humanitarian relief, and long‑term regional security architecture.
